Ami is a member of the firm’s international department, and focuses his practice on corporate financings and commercial transactions. Ami represents both private and institutional investors in making portfolio investments, as well as high-technology and bio-technology companies in financings, mergers and acquisitions, and a variety of other corporate transactions and matters. Drawing on his valuable experience, Ami works together with clients to build an effective strategy regarding the legal and business aspects of developing, protecting, and commercializing their intellectual property and then negotiates agreements that reflect this collaborative vision. Ami also has developed expertise in negotiating a broad array of other commercial transactions, including joint venture, licensing, service and distribution agreements. Prior to joining Ephraim Abramson & Co., Ami served as a law clerk to Justice Tzvi Tal of the Israeli Supreme Court. He graduated with high honors with a B.A. in Economics from Yeshiva University in 1993 and received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1996, where he was a Senior Editor of the Journal of International Business Law.
